The Duvall Homes Inspiration Gala

At the end of 2017, Instruments of Healing was invited to attend the Duvall Homes Inspiration Gala. This is a glorious event they host annually to celebrate the inspiration that has been brought to them by guests, residents, and staff members. The residents paint beautiful artwork that get auctioned and a lovely meal is served to the attendees of the gala. Instruments of Healing members Lauren Baucum, Justin Dalisay, Shilpa Ravoory, Hannah Faircloth, Gabriella Martinez, Zachary Foss, and Timille Barrow provided some reception music in the lobby beforehand. For the main event, we enjoyed a delicious meal, sharing fellowship and listening to a live band called Johnny Wild and the Delights. Instruments of Healing was honored to receive the Inspiration Award for 2017, and we will cherish the award greatly because Duvall Homes has such a special place in our hearts.
Towards the end of the gala, Instruments of Healing was invited up to the stage along with some of the residents to perform "With a Little Help From My Friends" by the Beatles. It could not have been a more fitting song for the occasion--it expresses the genuine statement that Instruments of Healing needs these wonderful people and they need us to have these outstanding moments in our lives and to unite together through our love of music.

We are so thankful to have such supportive faculty advisors in the Robinsons and Dean Masse and we were excited that they were able to attend the gala.
